Paul Young Para 18 Bamboo Rod 9' 2/2 #9For sale here is a Paul H. Young "Parabolic 18" bamboo rod. Nine feet in length with two sections and two tips made for a 9 weight line. Made in 1950. The rod is in excellent+ restored condition. The restoration was performed wonderfully by Bob Summers. All sections are full length, straight, and void of any repairs. Beautifully mottle flamed cane with chestnut wraps and spiral tipping. Bright guides. Though the script on the butt section was replaced

Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a beautiful mortised buffalo horn spacer

Medium cigar grip and nice all cork grip

Quick action but semi full flexing

All of the guides feature imported German agate inserts

Done in chinese red with black edges and chinese red intermediates

Inside are two splendid chromo-lithographs by James Poole

The tube stores into the canvas over bag along with the butt and the fighting butt
