Hardy St. George 3 3/4" Fly ReelFor sale here is a classic Hardy St. George fly reel 3 3 4" diameter. Three screw latch. Made in the 1940s. Ebonite handle spins freely. No cracks, chips or dings. The majority of the original leaded finish remains on the reel. Pawl and gear teeth still in excellent condition. The original ribbed brass foot is full length and unaltered. Tension regulator works as intended. Agate line guide is free of cracks. The reel weighs 8. 75 oz. with the included

It is a testament to Norm's skill that his reels are so highly prized

with orange shellac cut 50% with alcohol as Payne used to do

A nice lightweight reel for a #5 or #6 line

The extra spool has an #10 F/S Hi-D wet tip line and comes in a brown suede leather pouch

The rod is in excellent original condition though it does have some light varnish wear
