a wine that could be approached on the earlier side

but not invisible

The 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon Herb Lamb Vineyard (which has been bottled and will be released in 1996) should turn out to be one of the most exceptional wines of the vintage

but with some Cabernet Franc (rarely seen in the Médoc these years) as well as Merlot and Petit Verdot

it would be fair to say that it's not subtle

An exuberantly spicy nose features additional aromas of black cherry

Here the wood and menthol influences are a good deal less subtle and while they don't dominate the even spicier and slightly riper liqueur-like cassis

the 2010 boasts serious depth and concentration
