Lot 015 - Antique Cast Iron Figural Trivet With Female Bust And Palmette Corners, Circa Mid-19th Century, 8" LengthAn antique cast iron figural trivet featuring a female bust with flowing hair set within a circular medallion, with palmette motifs at the corners of the square plate. The trivet stands on four tapered peg feet and has a looped handle. In the upper portion of the right half the various layers composing the Thoracic Wall are shown

An expansive collection documenting mid-19th century commerce and rail transport

The letters are all written in Germany

and similar correspondence

Binding split in several sections between gatherings

along with an ornate latch mechanism

The lamp retains a chimney seat intended for a glass chimney

as the inkwell spout has worn or broken off (please see photos)

The backs are exposed with paper backing visible

Vintage majolica ceramic jug with bamboo and lily pad motifs

The side handles appear to have been reattached using later hardware
