Gary Howells Fly Rod 7'3" 2/2 #3A very nice Gary Howells fly rod, 7'3", 2 piece, 2 tip, built for a #3 line. Solid built construction. Serial #4435. Built in 1978. 2 3 8 oz is the listed weight on the tube sticker but my scale has it at 2. 8 oz. Full flexing action. Near mint condition, just the faintest hint of soiling to the western style grip. 3 up node construction with oven tempered cane. Very nice varnish with brown wraps and yellow edges. #11 ferrule and #8 Mildrum carbide
