The grip has a 1/2 inch gouge as shown in the first photo

I would describe it as medium fast dry fly action
This could easily be mended
Wood is dark stained tiger maple
Pre-WWII vintage
All in fine unused condition
Rod had a nice medium acton
The rod is in excellent condition with the plastic still on the grip
