Hardy St. George 3 3/8" Fly Reel - Three Screw LatchFor sale here is a Hardy St. George 3 3 8 inch fly reel with three screw latch from the 1930's. Much of the original leaded finish remains. "JS" initials for reel maker Jimmy Smith. All original and in excellent condition throughout. Ribbed brass foot and duplicated MKII check. The reel has no significant end play, nice tight reel mechanically. Stunning dark brown unblemished agate line guide. Wonderful condition ebonite handle spins freely. Tension

The frame diameter is 4 3/4" with a spool diameter of 4 1/2" and spool width of ~ 1"
featuring a nickel silver screwlock slide band and lock ring
capable of catching large trout - 8 feet for a 5 or 6 weight
