Washington Crossing Tulip Poplar Pen #C;ATH11077This pen is made from a Tulip Poplar tree growing near the Johnson Ferry House at Washington Crossing the site of the arduous and famous Christmas crossing that started the Ten Crucial Days. This hazardous but pivotal crossing and and the three battles that followed rekindled hope in a failing American Revolution. This pen is dark beige with subtle rings of chatoyance. The tree was located at 4017'58. 65"N 7452'7. 65"W Pen Features. Alternate hardware.

This pen is a chatoyant honey brown with a darker section surrounding some lapis circling a chip of mother of pearl

in preparation for the successful surprise attack in the 1st Battle of Trenton

it will fade to brown if exposed to strong light for extended periods

and cannon were loading into boats to cross the dangerous ice filled Delaware river on that famous Christmas night

a few yards from the bridge that was so crucially defended during the Second Battle of Trenton
