I've learned that the blanks could have been sourced from the South Bend Rod Company and Paul then finished the rod

This reel has a very interesting handle that adds to the rarity of this particular offering

It doesn't get much better

There is a very minor click in the first ferrule from wood shrinkage as the rod spent a number of years in Colorado's dry climate
